8 people killed, 12 injured in road mishap in western India
discount watch salesNEW DELHI, July 18 (Xinhua) -- At least eight people were killed and more than 12 injured in a road mishap in the western Indian state of Rajasthan's capital Jaipur Sunday, a senior police official said.
"The eight deceased included two women and the injured have been admitted to a local hospital. The mishap happened in Sikar district when the truck in which they were traveling croton stainless steel ceramic swiss quartz watch turned turtle after the driver lost control of the speeding vehicle. Some 27 people were traveling in the truck," he said.
A probe has been ordered into the incident, the official added.
