But it still may have a hulking No. 34 lining up in the backfield.

O'Leary will stand on the sidelines, but senior captain Jacoby Brissett, the Panthers' 6-foot-4, 225-pound quarterback, asked to wear O'Leary's jersey for the game, coach Jack Daniels said.

That's Brissett's way of paying tribute to O'Leary, who was suspended two games for making an obscene gesture after Dwyer's season-opening 26-22 loss to Cleveland-Glenville on Monday in Ohio.

In a statement released Friday afternoon, O'Leary apologized for the gesture, calling his actions "unfortunate and inexcusable."

O'Leary said football jerseys his actions were not justified, but were a result of frustration.

"Our team traveled hundreds of miles at irregular hours. We scored three times in the last two minutes and were never awarded a touchdown. I was upset," he said. "I regret my actions but feel as if my team has been punished enough."

Palm Beach Gardens (1-0) coach Chris Davis called O'Leary "one of the most competitive guys I've seen in years." He expects Dwyer to miss O'Leary, but be extra motivated.

"We'll see some things from them we've never seen before," he said. "For us, we'll just play it one snap at a time."

Dwyer counts on O'Leary to play tight end, Fake Givenchy Handbags fullback, defensive end and, at times, safety, in addition to punting and returning punts. While Gardens is not as strong as national power Glenville, the Gators will test Dwyer's ability to fill the gaps.

Expect Dwyer senior Ben Hall to see most of the action at tight end, and senior Corey Smith at fullback. Senior Shubert Bastien played well against Glenville, and will move over to O'Leary's defensive end spot. Junior place-kicker Bobby Puyol will punt.

"When you lose one of the best players in the country, you have to make some adjustments. We have some guys coming in who haven't really had any game action, so (tonight's) going to be a big test," Daniels said.

"I know Gardens is pumped to get us, and they're getting us on a short week without, probably, our best player. We're going to need kids to step up."
