SIENNA Miller made sure she was preened and plucked Dolce & Gabbana to the max for her Twenty8Twelve fashion show in London yesterday. And doesn't she scrub up nicely! Boyfriend Jude Law sat front row alongside Si's best pal designer Matthew Williamson and model Poppy Delevigne.
Sienna continues to be a modern day fashion icon but not so much news on her film career - although I hear she's defo signed for the next instalment of the GI Joe franchise...
DANIELLE Lloyd has an unusual take on footballers that cheat! She says it's power balance pendant not their fault! WTF?! Danielle, who is about to get married to Spurs star Jamie O'Hara, told me at The Look Show: "It's the girls that go out there and put it on a plate to them - just to make a quick buck.
Christian Dior"It's pretty sad. If Jamie goes out obviously I trust him, but it's the girls that you don't trust.
"The girls see an opportunity to make money and sell stories." Righty ho.

Ammanford make it tough, but S
AMMANFORD lost by four wickets to runaway leaders Sully at the Park on Saturday.
In the absence of captain Alun Evans, Matthew Fisher took the reins and won the toss, electing to bat.
They lost Rhydian Harris almost immediately and, with the score on 31, Fisher (13) joined him back in the pavilion.
Steffan Jenkins and Craig Maloney made slow but steady progress against the bowling of Glamorgan's Alex Wharf and Mike O'Shea, reaching 107 in 35 overs before Jenkins (18) became Sully's third victim.
Nike Air Max 95Two further wickets fell in three overs, but Rhys Davies (21) and Andrew Salter stemmed the stream of returning batsmen with a face- saving partnership of 69.
Salter was out for 49 and Ammanford finally capitulated on the last ball for a total of 189.
O'Shea and Richard Ready took three wickets each, while Wharf 's single victim cost just 17 runs in 10 overs.
Sully's reply got away to a flying start thanks to openers Ryan Sylvester and O'Shea, who put on 45 in the first six overs.
When Maynard trapped Sylvester lbw for 16, Glamorgan's Mike Powell joined O'Shea and they took the score on to 83 before Powell (19) was bowled by Salter.
Ammanford enjoyed a brief period of hope as four further wickets fell but, needing only 72 runs with half their overs remaining, Sully took the sensible route to victory.
Jamie Sylvester (43no) and Ready (38no) reached their target comfortably.
Salter (3-50) was the pick of Ammanford's bowlers. Maynard (2- 62) took some punishment while Fisher (1-37) and Harris (0-21) were more economical.
Next week, Ammanford travel to Swansea in the league, followed by a long trip to North Wales on Sunday when they take on Hawarden in the semi-final of the Welsh Cup.
Ammanford seconds travelled to Sully with a team depleted by holidays.
Bvlgari WatchesSully took advantage to reach 290-6, despite being slowed in the middle of their innings by the father and son spin pairing of Jeff and 13-year-old Jamie Evans. Kieran Vijay took a creditable 3-50.
In reply Ammanford found it impossible to keep up with the asking rate, but batted hard to force a draw with four wickets standing. Rhys Culley (51), George Harvey (45) and Scott Maynard (27no) were Ammanford's main run-getters as they finished 100 runs behind.
Ammanford's under-12 match at Llangennech was played on a wet, slow wicket.
The visitors batted with great maturity, reaching 90-2. Wicketkeeper Jack Isaac top-scored with 14.
Llangennech's approach was somewhat less disciplined, and they only managed a total of 15 runs between them, six of the eight Ammanford bowlers claiming victims.
A friendly against Llanwrda last Tuesday afforded the opportunity of blooding new players, and though Llanwrda managed to reach 90 runs, they were easily surpassed by the Ammanford batsmen for a comfortable 14-run victory.
Ammanford's under-11s are League A champions despite not playing against Dafen last Sunday due to the opposition's inability to raise a team.
They play Ynystawe next Sunday in the League semi-final play- offs.

Aminal brings its musical jour
By Nancy Dunham
Special to The Washington Examiner
Many traveling musicians gripe and whine about the hard work that goes into building fan bases, but Patrick O'Neill, co-founder of Aminal, is all about celebrating the life.
Not that the Chapel Hill, N.C., trio's music hasn't always been upbeat, as evidenced by the praise it soccer jerseys has received from local and regional critics -- especially since "The Fight EPs" started gaining buzz. Credit a mutual love of the Band and early Faces for some of its sound and a mutual joy of bringing music to audiences for keeping it going, said O'Neill.
"The music I am working on now for the new album -- "Call to Arms" -- is sort of a celebration of being a musician in a band," he said. "It's about doing this for a long time and traveling all over the country ... with very minimal success. [It's about] all musicians relating to each other and then people relating to each other, connecting to each other in general."
Reaching out to others via music is something O'Neill started to do when he was just 16. He found that the best way to express his ideas -- other than by playing drums -- was to write them down as songs.
"I don't know why I do it or why people do it," said O'Neill, the Aminal front man who now handles guitar duties for the band. "I just kind of have to. It's fun and can be daunting but it really is a labor of love."
Think of Aminal's music as sort of a musical diary or even a type of social networking and you have the idea of what O'Neill does.
"A lot of music comes from the place of being in a position and moving toward something," O'Neill said. "It can be that you never really arrive and the struggle that most people across the human race can relate to is continuing to strive and move toward the goal. ... That's what's good about life; it's about getting your hands dirty and really committing to something."
But don't think that Aminals' live show is a study in introspection.
The members reach back to the first bands they followed -- think Grateful Dead and other experimental musical pioneers of the '60s -- in developing live shows that are full of energy and improvisation.
"Those shows were live shows and never really repeated Jimmy Choo Bags themselves," he said. "One of the elements of those improvised sections is that they keep the shows fresh every night. ... We pride ourselves first and foremost on loving to play live. I think that naturally translates to the audiences. See us live and it's not hard to get up and dance."

Concretising factorisation of
Many secondary mathematics teachers find it a challenge to teach factorisation of quadratic expressions to students who have weak foundations in algebra. This paper is a sharing of a project we embarked on to help students who have been generally unsuccessful in the topic to gain greater proficiency in the concepts and skills involved with quadratic factorisation. Concretising factorisation of quadratic expressions
Background of project
The way quadratic factorisation was usually taught to students in Bukit View Secondary (as well as other secondary schools in Singapore) was through the familiar "cross-method". An illustration of this method in the example of [x.sup.2] 3x 2 is shown in Figure 1.
[FIGURE 1 OMITTED]
However, some teachers felt that a significant number of students could not use the method effectively even after careful demonstration through repeated examples. As such, a Lesson Study (1) team was formed comprising the authors in this paper with the aims of identifying students' difficulties and devising ways to help them improve in their proficiency. We targeted the secondary Normal (Academic) (2) students in the school. A pre-test was administered to find out the extent of students' difficulties. The results confirmed the hunch that a majority of students was unable to factorise quadratic expressions correctly. This finding strengthened the resolve to devise another approach to teaching the topic.
After discussion, the team identified possible problems that students might experience regarding quadratic factorisation. These included:
* students' common conception of algebra as being "abstract" and thus beyond them;
* students' lack of pre-requisite algebraic skills (such as simplification of like terms);
* students' perception of the "cross method" as arbitrary, and the subsequent failure to make sense; and
* factorisation seen as an isolated skill to be learned without a broader context.
The team agreed that a reworking of another approach must address the concerns listed above. In addition, the team was convinced that for a teaching method to work practically in the classroom, it had to take Jimmy Choo Bags Replica into consideration realistic constraints of the classroom such as time constraints, large class sizes, and usefulness in actual test situations. In other words, the team was not working towards ideal pedagogies that could theoretically bring about radical changes in students' abilities; rather, we were targeting a realistic pedagogy that was useable in actual day-to-day lessons that could bring about improvements in students' learning of the topic. In response to these concerns and constraints, we decided that a new approach to teaching quadratic factorisation should satisfy the following criteria; that it would:
* appear concrete to the students;
* require minimum prerequisite algebraic skills;
* be perceived as sensible and non-arbitrary to the students;
* connect to the broader context of factorisation as reverse expansion;
* be useable directly by students as a method for Juicy Couture test situations.
